Sirane is expanding its distribution in eastern Europe with the appointment of a new distributor in Poland, Premac.
Premac is a packaging technology company supplying almost all the major retail stores and food manufacturers/processors in Poland, distributing packaging and machinery for packing fresh products including fresh and processed meats, poultry and fish, ready meals and fruit and vegetables.
Sirane managing director Simon Balderson says: “Premac will be not only taking products already sold in the region, but also new innovations and technologies currently unknown in the area – an exciting venture and an opportunity that I am sure Premac are in a position to make the most of.”
Sirane has a number of food packaging specialisms, including absorbency, shelf-life, susceptors, and ovenable and microwaveable bags.
Recent innovations from the Shropshire, UK-based company include Sira-Cook Supreme – an ovenable cooking bag which can be used on the barbecue; Sira-Cook Smart-Release – a dual-compartment microwave cooking bag with a timed release for perfect infusion of sauce and ingredients; and Dri-Fresh Fresh-Hold – odour absorbing pads for vac-packed meat.
