Shrink film width doubled

5 October 2010

Jason Plastics has installed new production equipment enabling the Bury based company to supply micro-perforated films up to 2.2mm wide - double the previous capability.

Managing Director Brenton Walshaw comments: "The new unit will enable us to offer a much broader range of products to both our existing clients and new sectors. It will be especially beneficial for manufacturers in the construction and packaging industries, as we can produce full and strip micro-perforated shrink film for larger products such as insulation and timber.”

Jason Plastics’ Tuffshrink+ film is available plain or printed and in either natural or coloured polyethylene, and specialised additives such as UV degradation retardant can be used in the film. The micro-perforation allows excess air to be released while shrinking, giving a more compact look.
