Schubert and IPS join forces in new pharmaceutical service

Gerhard Schubert GmbH and IPS International Packaging Systems have begun operating a joint “competency team”, to offer cross-disciplinary consulting in the pharmaceutical packaging sector.

Bringing together Schubert’s expertise in highly flexible TLM packaging machines and its longstanding relationships with pharmaceutical companies, with IPS’s extensive experience in project management, the new operations commenced on 1 January 2014 under the name Schubert Pharma.

“Together we are able to respond even more efficiently to the specific market requirements of the demanding pharmaceutical sector,” explains IPS chief executive Olaf Horrenberger.

In total, 20 pharmaceutical experts from sales, purchasing, project management, validation and service will in future work as Schubert Pharma under one roof at IPS in Crailsheim, Germany.

As a general contractor and engineering service provider, IPS has supplied individual and tailored packaging solutions from a single-source for over 40 years.

Schubert Pharma’s portfolio includes comprehensive engineering consulting services, project management for turnkey systems and line optimisation for existing packaging lines.

The company also takes over the maintenance of systems for their entire lifespan.

Schubert Pharma also designs system solutions for future product lines and volume capacities.

Upon request, the team evaluates the performance and process capability of existing machine technologies, produces budget and target figures and supports companies during their approval processes.
