Cardia Bioplastics has developed a range of packaging resin products that are fully recyclable and comply with USA FDA CFR 21 and EU No 10/2011 regulations on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
The new resins are made from Cardia Biohybrid proprietary technology, which combines renewable thermoplastics with polyolefin material to reduce dependence on finite oil resources and to reduce carbon footprint. The packaging applications that have already been validated for compliance are mono and multilayer films, and injection and blow moulding products. Bags, food packaging films, containers, closures, tubs and bottles can now be made with the new material.
