Rapid growth in the organic and superfood market has powered a £350,000 investment by contract packers Complete Core Business Solutions.

£350,000 investment by contract packers Complete Core Business Solutions.

Based in Abercynon, Complete Core Business Solutions fills, packs, stores and distributes organic and superfood products on behalf of many of Europe's leading retail brands.

With Soil Association and SALSA (Safe and Local Supply Agreement) accreditation, Complete Core Business Solutions has invested £350,000 in new warehousing facilities and an automated pouch filling and sealing machine to manage the filling, sealing and distribution of products.

Supplied by the Food Machinery Company of Kent, the new filling and sealing machine has an integrated auger filler system. It is designed specifically for premade pouches and bags and can handle speeds of up to 100 bags per minute. With two filling stations, it can be used with all types of linear and multi-head weighers and fillers to pack powders, particulates and liquids.

The 15,000 square feet warehouse is based on Goat Mill Industrial Estate and will be used to store raw materials. Complete Core Business Solutions has agreed a three year lease with agents Middleton Perry. James Saunders of Powell Lloyd advised Complete Core Business Solutions.

The organic and super-food market is worth an estimated £1.64 billion in sales in the UK. The 2013 organic market report released by the Soil Association highlights key areas of growth in online retail, independent outlets and a shift towards younger consumers during 2012. The report predicts a positive future for the UK organic market.
