Quadpack launches Twin Mix Airless dispenser

14 November 2012

Quadpack is launching the Twin Mix Airless dispenser from Yonwoo, enabling consumers to mix their own skin treatment when they require it, to the correct dosage.

Sensitive ingredients that are beneficial to the skin, such as vitamin C or ascorbic acid, cannot be mixed into a serum or cream too far in advance of being dispensed, as they begin to lose their efficacy on exposure to air.

The Korean cosmetics packaging manufacturer’s Twin Mix Airless system stores the ingredients in liquid or powder form, together with an activating agent, in two separate chambers.

To activate the treatment, consumers simply remove the ring seal, press down the top of the pump and shake to mix the two elements.

Pressing the actuator then releases an exact 0.15cc dosage of the formula – particularly important with ingredients for which incorrect doses can produce contrary results.

“As with all airless pumps, the formula is protected from oxidation and external contamination, allowing less use of artificial preservatives,” says Quadpack – the exclusive distributor of Yonwoo in Europe.

“The dispensing method also draws up all of the product with virtually no waste.”

Twin Mix Airless is currently available in a 7ml capacity, with 1.5ml in the top chamber and 5.5ml in the bottle.

Decoration options include silk screening, hot stamping, heat transfer and colour matching.

Quadpack is an international provider of enhanced packaging solutions for beauty and skincare brand owners and contract fillers, and a founding member of the Airless Pack Association (APA).

With offices in the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Australia and the Far East, and a strategic network of manufacturing partners, Quadpack sources and develops customised packs for prestige, masstige and mass market customers.
