Promens has extended its standard cosmetics packaging range to include four new complete ranges of bottles in PET: the Basic, Boston, O’Cyl and Ovalis collections.
The move is a response to what the Iceland-headquartered company describes as “growing demand” for PET bottles and jars from cosmetic brands.
The new Promens Basic, Boston, O’Cyl and Ovalis collections are available in standard cylindrical or oval shapes to suit all product types.
Viewed as a compliment to the Promens PE and PP global range, all bottles are moulded with standard screw necks and can be assembled with standard dispensers, sprays or screw closures.
“PET containers have a big advantage,” Promens says.
“The transparency of the material highlights the content and presents formula textures and colours at their best.”
With a clear, glass-like gloss finish, yet tough and resilient, PET bottles are suitable to both mass-market or premium cosmetics ranges, the company says.
Combined with metallised dispensers, the new PET bottles are said to be ideal packaging for premium fragrance skin care brands.
The Basic, Boston, O’Cyl and Ovalis ranges are available in sizes from 75ml to 500ml.
“The 500ml Boston bottle contains twice the content volume of a 250ml bottle, but uses less weight of plastic than two 250ml bottles,” the company says, adding that the new large PET bottle sizes present customers with the opportunity to create complete product ranges with a mix of jars and bottles from a single source of supply.
The PET containers can be produced in any colour, transparent or opaque, while decoration options include labels or sleeves, hot stamping or silk-screen printing: “Promens can help to find the best solution by proposing virtual mock-ups of finished products.”
