DuPont Packaging Graphics is to exhibit its latest innovations in flexographic printing plates, the Performance Series Cyrel DSP and Cyrel DFP, at the ProFlex trade show in Stuttgart, Germany, September 11-12.
The company – one of the world’s leading suppliers of flexographic printing systems in digital and conventional formats – says the solvent process Cyrel DSP and the Cyrel FAST DFP are “formulated specifically for highest solid ink density combined with excellent dot gain characteristics”, and are fully functional with all standard LAMS-based platesetters.
Incorporating a special engineered surface that enables printers using a standard digital workflow to meet the higher solid ink requirements of brand owners, the new DuPont Performance Series of digital plates is said to represent the “next generation of flexographic plate”, without requiring expensive investments in digital prepress and digital technology.
DuPont Packaging Graphics EMEA business leader Bernd Daiber says: “These new Performance Series plates will provide our flexible packaging customers superior on-press performance: the highest solid ink density, with smooth solids, less graininess and minimized pin holing, combined with excellent minimum dot size and dot gain.”
