Primera Lid Foil, from the Amcor Flexibles Global Pharma division, is a novel push-through foil with a print primer said to perform on all current printing technologies and inks. Thermal resistance and a smooth, high quality printing surface are among its features.
In September, Primera was given full release by Swiss printing solutions company Hapa for ink systems 26, 38, 39, 78 DOD, 78 Webjet and 80 ULP. According to Amcor, this makes it the first and only primer to achieve a release across this many systems, while continuing to deliver premium results on standard rotogravure, flexo, UV flexo as well as CSAT, Wolke and Atlantic Zeiser systems.
