Ppure containers present clear convenience solution

11 September 2013

Targeting fresh and convenience food suppliers, RPC Tedeco-Gizeh has launched the Ppure range of containers, made with an ultra-clear polypropylene-based material to provide a cost-effective alternative to the more traditional APET formats.

Offering “excellent” transparency, Ppure containers are said to enable fresh and convenience food suppliers to enhance brand image, emphasise product quality and create effective on-shelf appeal.

According to RPC Tedeco-Gizeh – Europe’s leading manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging – the containers are suitable for both hot and cold fill and have been designed for fast and efficient throughput through all types of automated filling processes.

For the consumer they combine good strength for product protection with light weight for easy handling, and are suitable for microwaving.

Reduced transport costs and ability to be recycled, mean Ppure can make a positive contribution to companies’ carbon reduction targets, the company adds.

“We believe our Ppure containers represent a true market innovation which will enable food manufacturers to maximise the appeal of their products,” says Willem-Jan van de Giessen, RPC Tedeco-Gizeh’s sales manager based in Deventer, The Netherlands.

“As well as creating eye-catching packs on shelf, their convenience and sustainability benefits are very much in line with current consumer and retailer demands.”
