PPMA Show seeks best in industry as Ones to Watch is launched

9 May 2012

The organisers of the PPMA Show have begun their search for rising stars of the processing and packaging machinery industry.

The ‘Ones to Watch’, which features at the PPMA Show at Birmingham’s NEC from 25-27 September 2012, not only offers the opportunity for machinery companies to position themselves as market leaders who hire the best professionals in the industry, but this year businesses also have the chance to win a discounted stand at the PPMA Show in 2013. The exhibition will be one of three hubs that together make up the Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition next year.

Returning for the second time following last year’s success, the Ones to Watch recognises the contributions of processing and packaging professionals under the age of 35 who have worked in the processing and packaging industry for at least four years.

Nominations from every area of the industry are welcome, with individuals who have shown exceptional entrepreneurship, commitment and diligence within their current role making ideal candidates.

Ones to Watch judge and CEO of The PPMA, Chris Buxton, commented: “The awards are a great way for businesses to acknowledge the outstanding calibre of professionals working within their companies. These are the industry stars of the future and we should recognise and encourage their development.”

If you are a manager and work with someone who you think should be nominated for the Ones to Watch, go to www.ppmashow.co.uk to recommend them before Friday 1 June 2012.

Nicola Swann from VideoJet Technologies won last year’s competition. Nicola trebled the number of her company new business enquiries from 2008 – 2010 and increased leads through the website by over 300%.

The winners of this year’s Ones to Watch will be announced at the PPMA Show and will receive management training from Festo Training & Consulting as part of their prize
