Pira, provider of services to the packaging industry, has been sold by BASF to Smithers Group.
Pira employs around 120 people at five locations in the UK and the USA.
Pira’s expertise includes molecular migration, materials selection, packaging conversion and performance in distribution and use.
Through the IntertechPira brand, it also serves industries including home and personal care, industrial biotechnology, performance materials and chemicals.
