Paxiom Group has made changes to its popular AutoWeigher linear scale line, allowing it to operate under full automation or semi-automation.
According to the US-based packaging services provider, while operating in automatic or semi-automatic mode, the AutoWeigher can achieve speeds of up to 15 cycles/min.
“Designed for growing companies who are interested in taking the first step towards automation, it allows these companies to increase their productivity and their accuracy while reducing their overall labour costs,” Paxiom says.
Mountable on a table top or floor stand, the AutoWeigher is said to be simple to operate and easy to move, with a “smooth cleaning process”.
Available in two models, the AW-1 can weigh from 0.5oz up to 2.5lbs, while the AW-9 can weigh 1oz to 10lbs. Both models allow product to be fed automatically from the hopper along a vibrating pan into a weigh bucket below, so that when the target weight is reached, the product is released from a funnel into a container or bag.
Features of the AutoWeigher include tool-less removal of the weigh bucket, hopper and funnel to help minimise downtime when cleaning and/or changing the product; a foot pedal for semi-automatic operations; and a large LED display capable of reading in grams or ounces.
