Paradigm joins Scandia in Graham Partners US expansion

6 January 2014

Paradigm Packaging has been acquired by Graham Partners, a US-based private investment firm focused on investing in businesses with advanced manufacturing technologies, innovative product development capabilities, and strong growth potential.

Paradigm Packaging – a leading rigid plastic container manufacturer based in New Jersey, USA, and serving the high-growth nutritional and pharmaceutical sectors of the healthcare market – will join Scandia Plastics, another Graham Partners portfolio company that designs and manufactures blow moulded bottles, containers, and light industrial parts.

The two will be initial members of Graham’s niche market and regionally-focused blow moulding platform. In 2012, Graham Partners acquired Wisconsin-based Scandia after identifying an opportunity within the blow moulded plastic packaging market to build a successful mid-sized blow moulder.

Adam Piatkowski, managing principal at Graham Partners, states: “Paradigm opens the door to a variety of cross-selling and synergistic opportunities.

“Paradigm’s reputation as a quality-driven, niche packaging supplier aligns well with Scandia’s unrelenting focus on quality and technical excellence.”

Ross Bushnell, president and CEO of Graham Partners’ blow moulding venture, says: “By sharing best practices, market information, and injecting manufacturing resources and expertise, we believe our businesses will be positioned to improve upon their already strong technical capabilities, quality, and customer service.”
