Packaging Technician

Reporting to the Senior Packaging Technologist, in this role you will be working as part of a small team which has responsibility for ensuring that all our food packaging is fit for purpose, meeting the highest quality standards and our customer requirements.
You will be involved in conducting factory line trials on packaging to ensure it meets requirements and specifications. You will liaise with packaging suppliers and packaging technologists to resolve issues. You will create and maintain packaging databases and be responsible for the collation of packaging and merchandising samples. As such this role is suited to a creative individual with an interest in packing processes, packaging, and who has an eye for detail and the ability to identify errors and problem solve.
Computer literate and educated to A’ Level standard or equivalent, you will be a strong team player who is keen to learn. Preference will be given to those with an industrial design qualification or previous experience working as a packaging or NPD technician (ideally within the food industry), or with experience within the packaging industry.
Travel to our suppliers and other production sites within our group are required as part of this role therefore the flexibility to travel at short notice and a full driving licence are essential.
