The free-to-attend sessions will include Simon Oxley, Packaging Manager of Food at Marks and Spencer who will be taking a detailed look at 'How to change consumers perceptions about packaging for the good'. Continuing with this theme, Paul Young, Head of Packaging Services Europe for DHL Supply Chain will talk about 'Equalize, eliminate, eat: is recycling packaging really necessary?' Young will look at the alternatives to recycling packaging and the reasons why these should be considered before using recycling as a last resort.

Paul Earnshaw, Packaging Manager at Tesco will be presenting his topic - 'A retailer's view of the packaging industry'. Explaining why Tesco is particularly interested in the consumer and business benefits packaging can bring, but also why it needs to engage with the packaging industry.

The demands on packaging are ever more complex, protect the product, sell the product, store the product, and be recyclable and reusable. At what point do we say no more? Kay Hedges, Packaging Development Manager at Kingfisher Group will look at the challenges we face and at how the costs of all of these fulfillment methods are not sustainable either financially or environmentally.

Christine Mau, EMEA Design Director at Kimberly-Clark will be talking about a similar subject in her seminar session 'No boundaries: transforming ordinary products into extraordinary brand experience', as she talks about the three principles that guide her work - DX3 - Dream, Dare and Dance.

What if seven out of 10 customers picked your product over everyone else's? Come and explore the emotional impact and influence within customer's purchase decisions with Joaquín López Batlles, Marketing and Business Development Manager, at Derposa and Antonio Ruiz Fernández, Executive Manager & Co-founder, at Brain House Institute Consumer's Neuroscience.

Matthew Hunt, Packaging Buyer at Taylors of Harrogate, will also be addressing 'How to use genuine consumer insight to guide packaging procurement strategy'. He will discuss how to use both the marketplace and changing consumer trends to add 'true value' to a brand via packaging.
