Packaging Innovations 2014 boasts more show features than ever before

24 February 2014

Opening to Birmingham’s NEC on 26-27 February 2014, Packaging Innovations this year returns with five new interactive features, invaluable advice, content rich seminars and interactive packaging and print debates, according to show organiser easyFairs.

Brand new for 2014

The Ecopack Challenge, sponsored by Marks & Spencer, will see a selection of exhibitors pitching their eco-friendly packaging ideas in front of a panel of professionals looking for the latest sustainable solutions. The Ecopack Challenge winner will receive a one hour session with the Marks & Spencer technologists and an opening to work with a supplier.

BPIF will be launching CartonVille, a groundbreaking animation, which follows a folding carton through its journey from the forest to the promotion and then to the recycling plant where the journey starts again. Visitors can also enter a competition to win an iPad Mini by visiting the stands of BPIF Cartons’ members to answer seven carton related questions.

The Plastics and Packaging Recycling Clinic hosted by Recoup, will be on hand providing free one-to-one recycling advice. As companies try to be more environmentally friendly, more answers are needed, so this pre-booked session with an industry expert will be hugely advantageous.

Campden BRI will be showcasing an eye-tracking feature, which helps visitors understand what drives consumers’ spending behaviour and store navigation. The eye-tracking software is available to try, helping to develop strategies for POS, pack design and product positioning.

3D Print Live Demos are set to take Packaging Innovations 2014 by storm. Watch 3D printing live in action and find out how to increase innovation, improve communication and compress the design cycle.

And AIPIA (The Active & Intelligent Packaging Industry Association) will be on hand to give free advice to visitors looking to integrate the latest active and intelligent technologies in their packaging.
