Design agency Echo worked on a limited edition ‘cricket ball’ pack to launch a men’s hair styling product, Brylcreem Paste.
The cricket ball pack played on the brand’s association with cricket. The design mimics the size and appearance of a cricket ball with a soft touch outer skin and an embossed Brylcreem logo. A stitched seam is surface printed to reinforce the illusion and the ball carries England cricketer Kevin Pietersen’s signature.
An outer carton was designed to be easily packed and protect the ball, while allowing it to be displayed effectively. Shoppers can experience the tactile qualities of the ball thanks to an open front.
