Paccor picks up 4 Aces for UK local distribution

24 April 2012

Rigid plastic packaging manufacturer Paccor is partnering UK water cooler company 4 Aces Liquid Packaging to provide a bespoke distribution service for Paccor’s products across the UK.

The move follows the closure of Paccor’s Veriplast factory in the north of England and the company’s subsequent investment in its foodservice manufacturing plant in the Netherlands.

Paccor will supply a wide range of its products – including all sizes and variants of vending cups, PP and PS drinking cups, salad bowls, sushi trays and catering platters – for distribution by its existing customer 4 Aces, to Paccor’s smaller and medium-sized customers.

“The closure of our factory in County Durham meant that we had to rethink our distribution strategy in the UK,” said Stuart Gray, UK sales manager for Paccor’s Foodservice division.

“Whilst we are now servicing our major customers directly from Holland, we needed a distribution partner to help us reach our other UK clients.”

Paccor says its recent expansion of its foodservice manufacturing plant is to be followed by further investment over the next few months, while 4 Aces has already invested in a new 10,000 sq ft distribution warehouse next to its headquarters in Hertford, UK.

“This is the perfect partnership, with both parties providing what the other one needs,” said 4 Aces sales manager Chris Penn. “Our mission is to stock a complete range of products under one roof, creating the very first one-stop shop for the water cooler business.”
