Online Packaging Innovation Exposé by Video Launched
Packaging innovation which supports a whole industry of designers and manufactures just got challenged by an alternative online system of videos that demonstrates to anyone the innovative pack on-shelf and then deconstructs it to show how it works.
'Cost of packaging innovation is high yet success rates can be low' says packaging specialist Andrew Streeter, 'with innovatus you can see immediately packaging innovation and capture the idea to apply to your own products on an Open Innovation principle. We are seeking to increase success rates, speed up time to market and bring down innovation costs, plus there is a need for constant packaging stimulation in the industry.'
Streeter is no stranger to packaging innovation, his company CPS International created innovation system Pack-Track which they sold to Datamonitor (part of Informa plc) in April 2010, now free of Datamonitor contracts Streeter is back with a digital platform of packaging innovation.
The system has its own web-based platform located in the UK but pack innovations are captured by a global network of packaging specialists. There are no sales people, purchasing a single user license to use is online b2b and is just short of a £1000. 'It's a bit of a revolution, a digital one and the world our market when it comes to brand owners,' says Streeter.
innovatus is to be launched at 06.00 BST on Tuesday 21st April 2015 at www.innovatus.co.uk The website contains HD videos of packaging innovation which show the pack on the shelf at retail, consumer use demonstrated and the pack then deconstructed in studio conditions. There is professional multi-disciplined commentary. Videos are tagged and searchable plus there are online facilities for users. innovatus is targeted at the marketing and packaging communities in FMCG and OTC brand owners.
