Non-migration food labelling adhesives upgraded

10 April 2013

UPM Raflatac has introduced two adhesive upgrades to continue advances in migration safeguards in line with the EU 10/2011 regulation.

The new RP 36 FG and RP 36 ML adhesives have improved non-migration characteristics "to further reduce even the slightest possibility of food contamination". They are classed as infant and baby safe, and are approved for direct food contact, including labelling carcasses, as well as indirect food contact.

Laminates of the new products are said to achieve good results in a Sensory Analysis for Indirect Transition of Flavour according to EN 1230-2 (Robinson test). Improved UV resistance gives the laminate and converted labels a longer shelf life for efficient and convenient stock management. RP 36 FG also offers good clarity for optimal product presentation with clear labels.

Declaration of Confirmity (DoC), as required by the EU 10/2011 regulation, is available from UPM Raflatac.
