NJM Packaging has launched the Model 126 Trotter W pressure sensitive labeller, which is dedicated to wrap-around labelling of round containers and can operate at up to 150 containers per minute.
With fewer moving parts and a smaller footprint than US-based NJM Packaging’s existing multi-function Trotter labeller, the Trotter W is said to offer fast and easy changeovers and “rugged reliability at an affordable price point”.
According to the company, the Trotter W is ideal for contract packers, and is capable of handling pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, personal care products, household chemicals and foods that are packed in cylindrical containers, including spray cans from 25-203mm in height and 12.7-101mm in diameter, standard, and to 127mm in diameter, optional.
“NJM designed the Trotter W with high quality components, heavy duty construction, an open frame, raised bed conveyor and servo driven label dispenser for repeatable performance and low maintenance,” the New Hampshire-based company says.
“By dedicating the system to wrap labelling of round containers, NJM maximises the simplicity of the machine and offers a compact footprint that is only 4 feet (1.2 m) wide and 10 feet (3m) long, with or without an optional reject system.”
The standard Trotter W machine features a friction wheel infeed that enables speeds up to 120cpm.
However, with the optional starwheel infeed and motorised re-wind, the labeller achieves speeds up to 150cpm.
NJM can equip the Model 126 Trotter W pressure sensitive labeller with a wrap drum wheel or wrap belt to handle the widest range of container sizes.
