NewAir I.B. film offers inflatable anti-static electronics protection

12 September 2013

Sealed Air Europe says its new NewAir I.B. Anti-Static Inflatable Film is the only inflatable cushioning material on the market that meets industrial specifications for electrostatic discharge, surface resistivity and creep performance.

According to the global protective packaging specialist, NewAir I.B. Anti-Static Inflatable Film can provide valuable in-transit protection for electronic circuits that can be sensitive to static electricity.

The new film features an ability to maintain its cushioning properties throughout the shipping cycle, resulting in fewer damaged products, while reducing material storage space and providing a solution for cushioning, blocking and bracing applications.

The inflatable cushioning material is produced using Sealed Air’s NewAir I.B. Express system, which delivers patented Barrier Bubble material at over 16 m/min.

“This film helps to ensure that end users will receive their electronic item in the same condition that it left the factory, without damage caused by static electricity,” says Andy Robinson, European product manager at Sealed Air Europe.

NewAir I.B. Anti-Static Inflatable Film is already available to all the company’s European customers.
