Flexible packaging supplier Flexico has produced two new ‘eco-friendly’ closing systems: Biozip and Naturezip.
Biozip is said to be fully compostable, conforming to EN 13432, and can be sealed to similar material; while Naturezip is made from plant-based material that offers “the same physicho-chemical properties as oil-based material”.
The France-based pan-European company says both products are suitable for food contact, and for use “on all packaging machines available on the market”, including form, fill, seal and bagmaking equipment.
