New features for 2013 UK Packaging Innovations show

6 November 2012

Exhibition organizer easyFairs has announced two new features for its UK Packaging Innovations show at the Birmingham NEC on 27 and 28 February 2013: the Packaging Conference and inaugural BIG Print Debate.

At the high-level Packaging Conference, packaging industry professionals will discuss innovation, the future direction of the industry, opportunities and trends in the market, while the BIG Print Debate will see industry experts debating speed to market and the crucial topical issues in print.

“We’re always looking for new ways to move the shows forward,” says Matt Benyon, managing director easyFairs UK.

“The packaging industry is constantly evolving and we work hard to ensure the show not only keeps pace with changes but anticipates trends and actually helps drive things forward.”

The new Packaging Innovations features will form part of the show’s usual agenda, which includes 50 learnShop seminars, packaging surgeries hosted by The Packaging Society, the BIG Packaging Debate, and Lions’ Lair, the Dragons’ Den-inspired contest in which innovators pitch their latest products to a panel of experts.

Packaging Innovations is co-located with five other shows: Ecopack, Contract Pack, Packtech, Print Innovations and – also new for 2013 – Labelling Innovations.

Supported by BPIF Labels, Labelling Innovations has already attracted companies such as Amberley Labels Ltd, Impression Technology Europe, Mercian Labels, Leonhard Kurz (UK) Ltd, Blockfoil, Atwell Labellers and TPL Labels Ltd.

Amberley Labels sales manager David Beeby comments: “Developments in digital printing technology are fuelling massive growth in the sector. Now is a great time for buyers to re-evaluate the way they specify their print and we see the new easyFairs event as an excellent opportunity to present new and innovative possibilities to them."
