UK-based Weedon Corrugated Products has invested in a state-of-the-art corrugator for its plant in Audenshaw that will enable it to introduce a new range of "environmentally friendly, economical" board grades for Retail Ready Packaging (RRP) applications.
The new Less-flute board uses "eco-friendly" paper in a new flute profile said to be thinner than B-flute but with a similar performance. This makes it more economical in terms of both production and logistics - yet with a better surface for printing than conventional B-flute, according to Weedon.
