New beginning for Alexir

18 January 2011

Alexir now occupies new premises at Edenbridge in Kent. The 40,000ft2 purpose built print factory is a third larger than the previous Crawley production facility that last year was destroyed by fire.

The new state of the art machinery being installed includes Fuji pre-press, Komori print, Bobst cutting and creasing and Kohmann windowing, which it is said will minimise lead times and give some of the best colour control and quality in print.

Alexir Chairman Robert Davison says: “We couldn’t have had such a smooth transition to these new premises without the commitment of our employees. I am also grateful to our customers and to competitors, to whom we have outsourced over £1.5million of business, for their support during this time. “

Alexir will launch more details of the new factory at Pro2pac in March.
