Ready meals and sauces with high fat content and strong colours can stain their packaging, a problem that Mondi thinks it has solved with a material that offers ‘excellent’ oxygen barrier and filling properties and a stainless appearance of colour intense products.
The ‘sophisticated’ retortable Anti-Staining Pouch can be filled and processed in the same way as standard pouches.
“The novel material structure also enables a clean and straight tearing of the pouch, which is especially advantageous with sauces,” says Stefan Gutheil, Managing Director at Mondi Consumer Bags.
Target products are tomato, curry or chilli dishes and also pet foods.
