M&H is the Pukka choice for organic skincare

17 July 2012

M&H Plastics has supplied a range of five tubes manufactured from 80% post-consumer recycled (PCR) material for a new collection of naturally active organic skincare products, Pukka Ayurveda.

UK-based M&H manufactured the 50ml polyethylene tubes, which were then decorated with the distinctive Pukka logo alongside graphics inspired by ancient India and printed in silver.

“In order to reflect the exacting standards of the ingredients, Pukka sought a company that could meet the challenge of manufacturing eco-friendly packaging and selected M&H,” the company says.

The Pukka Ayurveda formulations are free from parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances and colours. The range includes cleansing and toning, moisturising and specialist treatments made from organically certified (92.6% to 100%) and naturally active ingredients based on the principles of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian art of “living wisely”.

M&H says it has made “significant investments” in its tubes business over the past 18 months and can now manufacture and decorate a million tubes a week.

M&H Plastics is a leading supplier of plastic components, manufacturing bottles, jars, flexible tubes and closures for many end users including personal care, pharmaceutical, healthcare and nutrition.

The company offers over 1200 standard products and full custom-moulding service is available for exclusive designs. “Virtually everything” is conducted in-house, on site, from concept design, through toolmaking, production, artwork and decoration.
