Management change at revitalised Europen

30 July 2012

Having completed the reviewing and updating of procedures task for which she was employed in January this year, Europen Brussels secretariat MD Véronique Bagge is to leave the association to “take up new challenges”.

The organisation, which focuses on packaging and the environment, said: “That process has now been achieved very satisfactorily with the establishment of updated and improved procedures for accounting and office management, an improved communication strategy and the further development of external relations.”

Membership of Europen has also been increased.

Véronique Bagge added: “I have achieved what I set out to do and leave the organization in very good shape to confront the significant challenges that lie ahead for the industry.

“I see many opportunities in the commercial and public affairs arena, which I now intend to explore, including sustainability issues such as food waste, and those relating to my extensive experience in China.”

Europen chairman John Swift, of DS Smith, said: “I am grateful to Véronique Bagge for having started a fundamental review of Europen’s strategy and practices, from which the organisation will greatly benefit.”

Europen – the European Organisation for Packaging and the Environment – is the only pan-European organization dedicated exclusively to issues concerning packaging and the environment, with membership open to all partners in the packaging value chain.
