Scotland-based Macfarlane Group is relocating its Dublin labels production site to a “higher quality” and significantly larger site in Newtownmountkennedy, County Wicklow, to the south of Dublin.
The new 40,000sqft facility will be equipped with flexographic and lithographic print capabilities to supply customers with a range of quality self-adhesive and re-sealable labels.
At more than three times the size of Macfarlane’s existing site in Baldoyle, it will serve existing and new customers throughout Ireland across a range of sectors, the packaging and labels company says, including food, health & beauty and household products.
According to Angela Campbell, who will be responsible for the new site, the move: “Demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our product and service offer to our customer base in Ireland.
“The extra space will allow us to raise production capacity to work in tandem with our labels site in Kilmarnock, Scotland, and broaden our packaging services in Ireland,” she says.
In response to customer demand in Ireland, Macfarlane will use the new facility to broaden its product and service offering to include the distribution of a range of protective packaging products.
