‘Low-carbon’ punnets

23 March 2011

Sharpak’s new punnet technology targets businesses that have signed up to reduce the carbon emissions linked with packaging as part of the Courtauld Commitment 2.

The improved c-Low punnet combines mineral filler with UK stream post consumer waste, is offering 33% lower material carbon footprint and a 10% reduction on the original version, launched last year.

Andrew Copson, Managing Director, Sharpak Yate, Bridgwater and Netherlands, sees the move as ‘another step forward in lower carbon food packaging’.
