Linpac Packaging has won a major contract to supply one of Poland’s leading meat processing companies with more than 100 million polystyrene trays per year.
The trays will be supplied to Pini Polonia, one of the region’s largest meat processors, from Linpac’s site in Bukowice, Poland.
One of the most modern meat processing plants in Poland, the Pini Polonia facility can process the slaughter and preparation of more than 1,000 pigs an hour.
Linpac says its trays will: “Ensure the highest stands of food preparation and packaging for Central and Eastern European retailers and consumers.”
Linpac Packaging vice president sales, Adam Barnett, says: “This is a significant new business win for our team at Bukowice, and underscores how our Fresh Thinking philosophy can deliver solutions which help our customers.
“Working in partnership with the team at Pini Polonia, we will deliver more than 100 million trays to ensure their products are packaged to best protect, preserve and present their wide range of pork products.”
Pini Polonia commenced its Polish operations in 2010. Based at Wschodnia, central Poland, products from the plant are approved for export to all EU countries, Ukraine, CIS countries, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
The plant is also in the process of obtaining permissions for export to USA, Canada, China, the Philippines and Australia.
Linpac Packaging Bukowice largely supplies to the distribution companies of the Pini Polonia group in Central and Eastern Europe, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and the Balkans.
