Less is more when it comes to foodservice equipment for travel operators

WTCE, 14 - 16th April, Hamburg Messe, Hamburg

The latest foodservice equipment trends from some of the biggest companies in the world are set to be explored in-depth at this year's World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) when it returns to Hamburg on 14 - 16th April 2015.

Weight and space management are key issues when it comes to foodservice equipment onboard planes and trains, and the latest products are developed using cutting-edge design and materials to offer the most practical solutions for travel companies.

For instance Zodiac Aerospace has developed the Maxflex Galley, which can be configured to evolve with the desires of the airline or catering staff. Similarly, Direct Air Flow, one of the world's leading suppliers of galley equipment offers a range of associated products for the cabin interior, including Atlas polypropylene drawers, glass racks, containers and oven racks.

Food safety is another major focus area as quality and hygiene become ever more important for passengers in choosing a flight. Some catering companies have even adopted stringent security measures such as GPS tracking and 24-hour security surveillance to maintain quality of foods offered by them.

The world's largest event dedicated to travel catering, passenger comfort and buy-onboard products, WTCE is the principal meeting place for professionals from across the air and rail travel industry to network and discuss new business partnerships.

The 2015 show brings together specialists offering a wide variety of products and services from across the globe, with nearly 65 new exhibitors already confirmed.

New foodservice equipment exhibitors to the show include Avio Houseware Co, an innovative food packaging and plastic tableware company serving airlines and rail companies worldwide, and Korita Aviation, provider of galley equipment including bespoke products in partnership with customers.

WTCE is co-located with Aircraft Interiors Expo, the world's largest event dedicated to sourcing the latest innovations, technologies and products for the cabin interiors, inflight entertainment and passenger comfort industries.
