Bottle recycler Eco Plastics has raised £24 million (€27.3 million) to drive expansion plans at its Hemswell, UK, recycling facility, to help support a joint venture with Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) involving the supply of food-grade recycled material (rPET) for soft drinks packaging.
The sum includes equity investment by Ludgate Environmental Fund and Close Brothers, and £5 million from CCE.
The expanded facility will be fully operational during 2012.
