Intrepid Fox Takes to the Big Screen
Intrepid Fox, the single-serve, PET wine glass, has become a smash hit at Reel Cinemas, a national cinema chain with sites across England. The chain's Operations Manager credited the thriving popularity of Intrepid Fox to its combination of elegant design, ease of service, and strict portion control.
Reel Cinemas had initially been serving wine from a bottle into a disposable plastic tumbler, as glass is not permitted in cinema theatres. However, the cinema didn't consider the tumblers to be appropriate for customers wanting a pleasant wine drinking experience. Furthermore, serving from bottles tends to produce costly waste through spills, breakages, and portioning errors.
Intrepid Fox has the unique benefit of minimising waste while offering customers quality wine in a safe, PET wine glass that looks and feels like the real thing. Speaking on the decision to sell Intrepid Fox, Muhammad Faisal, Operations Manager at Reel Cinemas, stated: "There is no question that the wine is good quality, but the main selling point is the glass itself. Customers want to enjoy their wine in an attractive, elegant glass, not a flimsy plastic tumbler. As we can't have glass in the theatres, Intrepid Fox is the ideal choice."
The Intrepid Fox PET glass is 100% recyclable and practically unbreakable, while each pre-filled unit removes any concerns regarding portion control.
Muhammad commented further: "The logistics of the product also benefit us. In terms of portion control, it is just right for the length of a film, with people taking one, maybe two glasses in with them. We also have less waste than we did when serving from bottles, as each unit is self contained and fully recyclable."
Each glass of Intrepid Fox is filled with 187ml of good quality wine, and is sealed with a foil lid, giving the product a shelf-life of up to a year. The glasses are designed to be as easy to store, serve, and carry as possible, while enhancing the aesthetic experience for the customer.
