Foodservice and consumer packaging company Huhtamaki has announced its acquisition of BCP Fluted Packaging Ltd, a corrugated packaging specialist based in Blackburn, UK, operating in the cosmetics, foodservice and confectionery markets.
Under the new name Huhtamaki BCP Ltd, the acquired business will become part of Huhtamaki’s Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania business segment.
“BCP has achieved great success and growth in the last ten years and Huhtamaki has both the desire and the resources to grow the BCP business even further,” says Brian Jones, chairman of BCP.
Eric Le Lay, executive vice president for Huhtamaki foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania, adds: “BCP’s corrugated food-to-go products complement our existing range of foodservice products perfectly and the range extension allows us to even better serve our existing customers with food, snacks and bakery packaging.”
