27 May 2014

Widnes 20 May 2014:

Datalase is pleased to announce that another of its patents for laser coding of paper and cardboard based substrates, has been granted in Europe, following earlier grant in the USA and Japan.

Chris Wyres, CEO, commented "this latest addition to the datalase portfolio is a direct result of continued investment in product development and further underpins future product lines".

The technology, which utilises 'salt' compounds, produces transparent/colourless coatings that enable laser coding of paper-based labels, products and packaging. John Thompson, VP sales and marketing commented "there is a growing demand from brand owners for transparent laser markable coatings for late-stage customisation of packaging and labels. Datalase continue to lead this innovation and are working with our extensive global licensee and partner network to deliver these exciting new products to market."
