Greiner Packaging claims that the product image created by its packaging design for Benevita margarine is having a “major impact” in the Polish market.
Since June 2011, health conscious consumers in Poland have been encouraged to buy the margarine brand, which is high in unsaturated fatty acids derived from evening primrose oil, by the clear indications on the packaging of “how healthy the product is” – notably its bright green colour scheme and a picture of a doctor.
“Green, fresh and healthy – the Benevita Margarine package is scoring on the sales shelves with all of these attributes,” says Tobias Strasser, head of Division K at Greiner Packaging. “We are making the outstanding health properties of the product very clear.”
Greiner Packaging says it has achieved a balanced combination of decoration variants for the sleeves and labelling. The side walls of the polypropylene (PP) cup for the 225g contents are sleeved, using perfectly fitting shrink sleeves that allow full surface decoration of the side surfaces.
Further decoration strength is brought to the optical design of the cup bottom and the slip lid: a label with the printed product information and barcode is placed on the cup bottom, while the label on the slip lid reinforces the message of the side wall decoration and supplements it with additional information.
The slip lid cover is coloured in the same shade of green that gives the entire package its “unmistakable healthy appeal”.
Benevita margarine can help to maintain a correct and healthy cholesterol level, and is claimed to have a preventative effect against arterial sclerosis and cardiovascular diseases.
