Zeller Plastik France has launched Touareg, a new lightweight 35mm diameter snap hinged dispensing closure for tubes.
The Global Closure Systems group company says the launch completes the Zeller standard range from 30mm to 50mm tubes in the Supersoft family range.
Manufactured with Zeller Plastik’s butterfly hinge technology, the Touareg closure suits the ND20.6 tube neck finish and is available in 2mm, 3mm and 5mm orifice diameters.
Designed to maximise cost reduction and reduce environmental impact in line with the GCS Cap Green sustainability initiative, at just 4g in weight the new closure is 20% lighter than the previous version, giving a significant carbon footprint reduction.
The weight optimisation and sophisticated high cavity mould design enable the company to offer Touareg at a “very competitive” price point.
“The contemporary, trend aware designed closure comes in a wide range of matt colours and the flip-top can be embossed to suit customer requirements,” the company says.
