Fruitful deal for Forest Feast as Asda stocks dried fruit UK-wide

Asda to stock Forest Feast Dried Mango, Sour Mango, Coco Mango and Wonder Berries in 257 UK stores

Northern Ireland based dried fruit and nut business Kestrel Foods has landed a significant contract with Asda to supply four lines from its Forest Feast premium dried fruit range into 257 Asda stores across the UK.

As of 1st June, Forest Feast Exotic Dried Mango, Sour Mango, Coco Mango and Wonder Berries will be available in 257 UK Asda stores. This is the first UK-wide Asda contract for Forest Feast, which produces dried fruit, nut and seed products from its base in Portadown, County Armagh. The business, owned by Lorraine and Michael Hall, supplies its products across the UK and Ireland as well as into over 30 countries worldwide.

"Having our products showcased at Asda stores across the UK is a fantastic development for our business and one which represents a significant growth opportunity," said Tim McVicker, Commercial Director, Kestrel Foods.

"The Forest Feast Premium Fruit Doypack range is our signature range of dried fruit products, sourced from across the globe and designed for snacking, baking or cooking. We take great pride in our products, putting a real emphasis on quality and standout flavour. For instance, our Forest Feast Sour Mango is the result of tender, Fairtrade green Philippine mango being harvested before fully ripening, giving us a unique sweet and sour snack.

"We are delighted to have that commitment to quality recognised by major retail partners such as Asda and particularly proud to be bringing this range to consumers right across the UK," Tim said.

Susanna Hassard, Asda's Regional Buying Manager for NI and Scotland (Grocery and Produce) added:

"Asda is committed to supporting local companies and showcasing the very best of Northern Irish suppliers and produce across our UK network of stores. Forest Feast's focus on new product development, convenience and health are all vital credentials which have established a trusted supplier relationship and a range which is of huge appeal to our customers."
