Fortress predicts record sales in 2013

19 June 2013

Food industry metal detection specialist Fortress Technology reports it is on target for its most successful year since its inception in 1996.

Half-year figures released by Fortress in June 2013 show that orders compared to the same period last year at the Oxfordshire, UK-based company are up by 57% for metal detector heads, and by 25% for the Vector combined conveyor/metal detector system, described by the company as “highly popular” with retailers.

According to Fortress, the all-in-one Vector detection solution features an alarm to indicate when metal is rejected, in order to identify the origin of the problem early.

In-line conveyors are specially developed to achieve the most accurate detection results by optimising the performance of the Fortress stealth detector.

“Our customers seem to appreciate the fact that Fortress metal detectors and conveyors are manufactured in Britain,” says Fortress Technology managing director Sarah Ketchin.
