Flexoplast films key to Mydibel rebrand

Flexoplast has produced new packaging materials for the rebranding of the 45-strong potato-based foods range of Mydibel in Belgium.

The flexible packaging materials manufacturer, part of the Clondalkin Group Flexible Packaging Division, produced the PE films and laminates in up to 8 colours, printed in HD flexo.

Flexoplast specialises in blown and cast extrusion, printing and laminating, and produces up to seven layer laminates printed in up to eight colours and numerous finishes.

Flexoplast supplied all packaging materials in the rebranding project for Mydibel, which produces sliced, deep frozen and pre-cooked potato products, including French fries of varying thicknesses, potato waffles, wedges and dices.

The project delivered through a partnership with Quatre Mains for brand design, and Volkers for pre-press and printing plates.

Flexoplast sales & marketing manager Jack van der Heiden says: “The scope and variety of products was extensive and the varied requirements of the packaging made it a complex job.

“Mydibel’s key objective is to deliver high quality potato products, and so the role of packaging is fundamental in this task.”

Alexander Van Halderen, Mydibel marketing director, adds: “The shelf appeal aspect is particularly important and the product identification by consumers is made simple thanks to the work that our partners have executed so effectively.”
