‘First’ aseptic carton bottle

26 May 2011

Tetra Pak has launched what it believes is the ‘first aseptic carton bottle for milk’.

The Tetra Evero Aseptic 1 litre for white milk has been designed for easy handling and pouring.

The ambient white milk market initially targeted includes non-oxygen sensitive milk enriched with calcium, proteins, fibres (inulin), vitamins A and D and some minerals. The plan is to expand into flavoured milk, cream and oxygen sensitive milk containing omega 3, iron, zinc, and vitamin C.

Spain's largest dairy Corporación Alimentaria Peñasanta (CAPSA) chose the Tetra Evero Aseptic for its move into the value-added ambient dairy segment.

Weihenstephan, one of Germany's largest traditional dairies, plans to introduce the Tetra Evero Aseptic this month (May 2011) to selected retail outlets in its first market test of the package.

The pack is said to have the ‘world's first’ one step opening with a two step safety feature. An ergonomic cylindrical shape with flat side panels has made it easier for big and small hands to hold, says Tetra Pak.
