To cope with increased demand for its packaging films, TCL Packaging is moving to a new manufacturing facility in Telford, UK. The new site on Stafford Park Industrial estate will provide 70,000ft² of manufacturing area - two and a half times the capacity at the company's current factory at Telford's Hortonwood estate.
At the end of 2013, TCL placed an order for a new Rofin laser scribing and perforating unit; and it alos plans to order an additional printing press to be installed at the new site. The move is also expected to result in new jobs and apprenticeships in the region
TCL says it has enjoyed year-on-year, double digit sales growth for the last few years despite the economic recession.
