Empac launch new website

Empac, the European Metal Packaging association today announced the launch of its new website Whymetalpackaging.com.
The website is designed to help decision makers involved in packaging to be better informed on metal packaging, and in particular its sustainability agenda. It explains the permanent material thinking: metals are natural elements that maintain their physical properties forever and therefore will always be available for future generations. It also highlights the connectivity between permanent, real recycling, resource efficiency and a working circular economy.

The emphasis on metal packaging's permanent nature is timely as it meets many of the objectives established by the European Union in its quest to develop a more sustainable society. This fact is illustrated on the website by a state-of-the-art animation, which depicts metal's working circular economy in an endless process in which products - at the end of their life - become new again.

The website offers a clean, modern design and easy-to-navigate functionality and is divided into 3 sections:

  1. - Why metal
  2. - The benefits of metal packaging
  3. - The best of metal

Whymetalpackaging.com also sets out the numerous other benefits metal packaging offers to the supply chain and showcases recent innovative products brought to market by Empac members.

"We are very pleased to launch Whymetalpacking.com," said Ellen Wauters, Communications Manager of Empac. "Empac and its members aim to provide key facts which underline metal packaging's multiple advantages. Our website will allow users to obtain clear answers to questions they may have about metal packaging. Whymetalpackaging.com, together with other communication initiatives, will ensure metal offers a very attractive and visible sustainability agenda to its customers.'"
