ELLA'S KITCHEN BRAND LAUNCHES RECYCLING INITIATIVE

Leading children's food brand, Ella's Kitchen is increasing its green credentials by launching 'EllaCycle', a scheme which aims to help mums + dads learn how they can recycle + reuse all the different types of Ella's Kitchen packaging.

Building on its TerraCycle pouch recycling program, EllaCycle is encouraging mums + dads to become Ellacyclers in their community by setting up pouch collection points in public places such as nurseries + shops, where everyone can drop off their used baby food pouches.

Any pouches dropped off at an EllaCycle collection point will be returned to TerraCycle, Ella's Kitchen's eco-friendly partner, and recycled in to new and useful things, such as benches + watering cans. Plus, with every shipment of 100 pouches received, 2p per pouch will be donated to the Ellacycler's chosen charity or nursery.

Mark Cuddigan, Managing Director of Ella's Kitchen comments:

"At Ella's Kitchen it's important to us to be good to our Planet. Pouches are designed to be lightweight in order to have fewer lorries on the road, but as they are a mix of materials, they need to be recycled in a special way. By encouraging more families to recycle their pouches, it allows us to give more back to communities and local charities."

Any mums + dads that want to join in and become an Ellacycler or search for an EllaCycle collection point near them can do so by visiting ellacycle.co.uk.

Central to the scheme is the www.ellacycle.co.uk website which contains a wealth of useful information including the following video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4YiekOoI4c which can be clicked on from the home page which outlines what EllaCycle is all about.
