The easyFairs Packaging Innovations show at the London Business Design Centre will feature a discussion forum on Thurs 4 Oct, ‘Refreshing your brand: Increasing quality while reducing cost – mission or myth?’, presented by Packaging Today in conjunction with Kodak.
Brand owners are constantly striving to gain any competitive advantage they can in today’s challenging marketplace. So it is important for suppliers to face these challenges head-on and use their industry knowledge and expertise to offer solutions that not only match, but exceed the expectations of their clients.
Many recent ‘added value’ projects have been focused on reducing cost and, hence, compromising quality. This policy is often one that can be spotted by the consumer and, therefore, can have a detrimental effect on future sales and brand loyalty.
At this forum we will be examining a project from concept to consumer pack that was jointly undertaken for the Birds Eye Iglo Group by digital packaging solutions provider Pulse Media, design house Jones Knowles Ritchie, flexible packaging producer Mondi Wheatley, and Kodak.
By adopting an open and joint approach to each challenge, the team were able to form a clear view and understanding of how to overcome the challenges of cost and technical application, and make it possible to offer the best of both worlds: increasing packaging quality, while reducing overall packaging cost.
On the panel:
Keith Mollan, managing director, Pulse Media
Jonathan Moore, Kodak GCG packaging sales director UK & Nordic
Lottie White, production manager, Jones Knowles Ritchie (jkr Global)
