Domino to launch next-gen N-Series digital label press

29 August 2013

The worldwide launch of Domino’s “next generation” N-Series full colour digital ink jet label press will take place at Labelexpo Europe, 24-27 September 2013.

According to Domino, the new addition to its N-Series range will offer “maximum productivity benefits, greater variable data printing and colour capabilities, and the highest definition output” for an even wider range of applications.

Domino’s new label press is said to build on the success of the company’s N600i four colour digital ink jet solution, including cutting edge technology to combine the productivity of flexo with the flexibility of digital printing.

It will also incorporate a range of Domino’s i-Tech intelligentTechnology productivity-enhancing smart features designed to optimise printer performance, such as the CleanCap automated cleaning and capping station, and StitchLink micro-motor controller technology, which enables precise head alignment.

“Key to the success of our latest product portfolio is the ability to draw on our long and established understanding of ink jet technology that spans some 35 years,” says Domino Digital Printing Business director Philip Easton.

“This, combined with our ongoing commitment to R&D, enables Domino to continually break new boundaries in terms of technological development to deliver the most reliable and productive solutions designed to fulfil real production needs.”

Visitors to the Labelexpo Europe 2013 show will be able to view this latest technology for the first time in a series of live demonstrations on the Domino stand (9F70), both as a separate stand-alone press and integrated into a working AB Graphics Digicon finishing line.

“All of Domino’s latest digital ink jet solutions on display at Labelexpo 2013 achieve production speeds of up to 75 metres (246ft) per minute, double the speed of most high resolution digital systems,” the company says.
