Denny Bros provides hook for fish promotion

UK premium ready-meals label Saucy Fish Co has opted for Denny Bros’ Fix-a-Form as the promotional mechanic for a ‘£5 cashback’ offer on packs of its fresh tuna with sweet soy and chilli sauce.

In the ‘Try me Free! Claim £5 Back’ promotion, Suffolk-based Denny Bros worked in partnership with Leicestershire-based unique code marketing company Hive.

Denny Bros’ 50mm, 4-page Fix-a-Form leaflet labels were used to provide a unique random code that allows purchasers to claim 500 points to go towards rewards including £5 and free cinema tickets, the chance to win an iPad and £100 itunes, or £5 paid directly back into the customer’s bank account.

For the promotion, Denny Bros printed more than 24,000 Fix-a-Forms – which are marking their 35th anniversary this year.

Nicola Salisbury of Denny Bros says: “The Saucy Fish Co Fix-a-Forms are as fun and vibrant as their ingenious host packs. They are catching a large number of fish buyers looking to try something new – the Try Me Free idea makes it irresistible. Fix-a-Form combined with a unique random code makes it all possible.”

Speaking for Hive, Keran Turakhia adds: “The promotion uses a strong alternative to a traditional discount at the till. Consumers were offered a full refund if they were prepared to logon and enter a code. The cost works out to approximately £1 per pack. It sounds like magic but works on the principle that only the promotionally sensitive get the refund.”
